Yesterday marked the end of Angela Jay\u2019s brief battle with lung cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was always inside The Sun in the early 1980s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also starred in advertisements for boxer Henry Cooper\u2019s Brut Aftershave and Gossard lingerie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beside her husband Ken, she passed away in an Eastbourne, East Sussex, hospital. Her age was seventy-one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He described her as \u201cthe perfect girl next door\u201d and described her as a \u201cdared to dream miner\u2019s daughter from the northern pits.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/readlovepray.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/a-304.webp?w=640&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After moving to Manchester, Angela was noticed by a modeling agency, according to Ken, a 79-year-old former photographer for The Sun. Her birthplace was Sunderland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShe knew she couldn\u2019t stay there and marry a miner,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/readlovepray.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/a-304-2.webp?w=640&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter she relocated to Manchester, a modeling agency noticed her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was really skilled at it from the start. Very youthful-looking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Angela was almost prepared to leave.
